What exactly is the geo-cache challenge? To answer it as simple as we can, its fun for the whole family! Geo-caching is a great way to get out and share the outdoors with your family and learn about places while you go. If you own a GPS then your ready to go right now, just don't forget the snacks and the picnic items.
Using your GPS you and / or your family navigate to locations given here on the site. Some of those locations will have either (a) clues to the next location (b) exact co-ordinates to the next location and some may contain a particular challenge for you to complete in order to get credit for the find. The challenge may consist of taking a picture, going on the site here and explaining what you found and how it relates to the outdoors or perhaps locating a particular story on the site and making a comment on it. If the cache requires a picture, you will be notified to take a camera in the cache just previous to it, that way you dont waste a trip only to find out you need a camera on it.
Now comes the question of why are we doing this? right? Well we want to promote the outdoors in a unique way that will make it fun and rewarding. Children and adults alike love to look for treasure right? sure we do and Geo Caching is a treasure hunt in the wild outdoors.
